Please feel free to sign our guest book with your own pawsitive feedback about Pamper the Pooch!
We, and our pets, have known Melanie for over 9 years.  We are not surprised to see she has chosen the pet care industry as a career path. It has always been a natural for her. She has always been inquisitive and in a constant state of learning when it comes to her love of animals.

Kelly is our 12 year old Border Collie, Corgi cross who is developing arthritis. When he had ligament surgery a few years ago Melanie provided massage therapy to aid in his recovery. A new procedure for us but an effective one for Kelly.

Last year, Boomer our 14 year old cat, developed diabetes; Insulin needles twice a day, morning and evening, were required. Another new procedure for us! Boomer’s daily medical requirements restricted our life style as we like to retreat to our cottage on the weekends. Once again Melanie was there with her care, medical attention and dedication to our cat and therefore provided us with piece of mind so we have been able to travel and enjoy our cottage.

On several occasions Melanie has stayed at our house taking care of our pets while we were away. We always felt secure and comfortable knowing Melanie was there. She is a very responsible young lady who anticipates ‘requirements’; where are the extra needles kept? Is there enough insulin for the week? Emergency contact numbers (personal & vet).  Also, its a pleasure to return home to our house knowing that it too … has been taken care of.

Melanie performs her services with a natural love and care for animals. Whenever possible she relaxes by riding horses at “the barn.” It is her honest, sincere nature and the reaction of our pets to her, that make us as clients feel comfortable. We trust her with the ones we love!

Thank you Melanie

Dog: Damien
Services: Massage
My three year old Doberman had a rear leg amputated due to bone cancer this past January. Always a very active dog, I was concerned about keeping him comfortable while he adjusted to his new situation. Having used massage therapy before on some horses I have owned, I was well aware of it's incredible effects on physical & mental well being.

I have found Melanie of Pamper the Pooch to be professional, punctual and courteous. She has developed a strong relationship with Damien. She is very capable of managing his high energy and getting his focus back on relaxation (such as after defending the house against the mailman, whom always seems to deliver during his appointment). She has been able to maintain his muscle symmetry & balance which helps him stay coordinated, strong & happy. It is very obvious at the softness of the muscles & the freedom of his movement, & the expression on my dogs face after a treatment, that he feels no tension or stiffness.

I would not hesitate to recommend Melanie to anybody. I trust her with my best buddy, whom loves her too. I am referring to both her therapeutic techniques & also her pet sitting service. I have not utilized this service yet, but will definitely do so. I'm not a fan of boarding kennels, & I have had the opportunity to have some 'play-dates' with various other Pamper the Pooch clients & have witnessed the discipline, affection & dedication provided to the canine charges in Melanie's care.
